if you believe there's nothing up his sleeve

So, we haven't had internet service since mid-Thursday. Nobody can give us a straight answer as to what exactly went wrong, but we were internet-free until this morning. Things seem to be running - albeit bumpily - for now, though all e-mails sent to us between the 29th and a couple of hours ago either bounced or disappeared into the ether. Opened Outlook Express this morning, expecting an avalanche. But nope.
Grrrr. Comcast.

Haven's back in school today. Yay! We're all excited. I hope his new teacher is great.

So, this is what we did last night. I have waited 15 years or so to see Michael Stipe and company. I have loved them unrelentingly since high school. I do not think that I have words to properly describe the show. After a wait of a decade and a half, I am still fairly speechless. They were amazing; phenomenal. I was crying at the end.

I have to go away from the computer now. We're hoping there won't be any more trouble with the internet connection.
